Consultation materials will be published shortly for the current round of consultation lasting through until February. We aim to publish responses to frequently asked questions in the Questions and Answers section of this website as the consultation progresses.

The Stage 3 Options Report, due at the end of March 2011, will conclude the current Feasibility Study and provide a view on the feasibility and viability of the three scheme options currently being developed and assessed.

This is a predominantly private venture which is interested in only one thing - money. You do not really care about the effects on wildlife, the consequences of changes in sedimentation patterns or the change in saltmarsh/mudflat areas. Soon you will own the river water and the whole of the Mersey basin and presumably the investors will come out at the end with suitably swollen wallets. I sincerely hope that you do not get the go ahead and that any future plans or should I say private visions falter on the rocks of you own incipient greed.
